IDENTIFIKASI DAN UJI EFEKTIVITAS HERBISIDA RUSO PADA GULMA DI LAHAN TANAMAN KELAPA SAWIT

ABSTRACT
  
Due to losses caused by weeds it is necessary to control measures. Many steps are performed in the control or management of weeds such as preventive means mechanical, technical culture, biology, chemistry and integrated manner. From some of the techniques of control over chemical control using herbicides most widely used for this method is considered more practical and profitable compared with other methods. Of the many types of herbicides that are traded in farm shops one of which is the 485 SL herbicide Ruso. These herbicides based on the way it works is a systemic herbicide to control weeds effectively narrow-leaved and broad-leaved weeds in oil palm plantations.This study aims to determine the types of weeds on crop lands of palm and obtain Ruso effective dose of herbicide to control the weeds types. The study was conducted over three months includes comprehensive measurement gardens, identifying weeds, herbicide spraying Ruso and observations. The study was conducted in a pilot plantation of oil palm trees Tree Crop Cultivation Study Program Polytechnic State Agricultural Samarinda.The results of the study identify weeds are Axonopus compressus, Ageratum conyzoides, Asystania ganggetica (L), Chromolaena odorata, Clidemia hirta (L), Colocasia sp, Cyperus rotundus, Davallia denticulata, Eleisune indica, Lantana camara, Melastoma malabratichum, Mikania micrantha, Nheprolepis biserata and Stenochlaena palustris. While efektiktivitas herbicide Ruso is best to treat 3 (R3) at a dose of 15 ml / l There are three types of weeds that live and 11 species of weeds are dead, followed by treatment with 2 (R2) at a dose of 10 ml / l of water, there are 4 types of weeds live and 10 dead weeds and treatment 1 (R1) there are 5 types of weeds that live and 9 types of weeds are dead. Keywords: Weed, Identification, Herbicides.

ABSTRACT

Pod husks compost is a fertilizer that can stimulate the growth of roots, stems, leaves, stimulate the activity of soil microorganisms more effective and able to restore soil fertility. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of compost pod husks with different doses on the growth of seedlings of rubber (Heveabrasilliensis).

This study was conducted over three months, starting from November 2014 until February  2015, which includes the preparation, execution and data retrieval. This research was conducted in the area of ​​the Laboratory of Agricultural Polytechnic State Samarinda.Penelitian production uses three levels of treatment that is P0 (control), P1 (100 gr / polybag compost from pod husks), P2 (200 gr / polybag komos from pod husks), each treatment was repeated  15 times repetition so that the number of plants is 45 rubber seedlings. From the results of the study showed that the P2 (200 gr / polybag compost from pod husks) on all the meters of good plant height, leaf number and stem diameter of the fastest growing. The high growth of plants of weeks of 2, 4, 6 and 8 are 42.39 cm, 52.92 cm, 53.01cm and  62.73 cm, the highest increase in the number of leaves of weeks of 2, 4, 6, and 8 are 12 pieces, 18 pieces, 19 pieces and  23 strands. Growth in the number of the largest meter diameter seen at week 2, 4, 6 and 8 are 5.4 mm, 6.2 mm, 6.5 mm and 7.8 mm.

UJI PENGARUH EKSTRAK ALANG – ALANG DAN KIRINYUH TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN BIBIT TANAMAN TEBU (Saccharum officinarum L.)

ABSTRACT

The aim of this research is to know and learn about the influence of giving extract of speargrass (Imperata cylindraca L.) and siam weed (Chromolaena odorata) leaf toward the growth of sugarcane seedlings. This observation use Random Group Design method with non factorial patterns that is use the type weed extract. The observation degree consist of 3 treatment that is P0 = control ( without application of the extract ), P1 = application extract of speargrass on sugarcane seeds (100 grams per 500 ml of water), P2 = application extract of siam weed on sugarcane seeds (100 grams per 500 ml of water). Every treatment was repeated 3 times and each replication consisted of 3 polybag, so in total there are 27 polybags.
Experiment’s results are gained by plant height, leaf quantity and dry weight on control plant (P0) are not significantly different with P1 and P2, but there is a tendency enhancement growth of plant height, leaf quantity and dry weight of plant especially in the treatment of P2 (extract of siam weed). Plant height of sugarcane with giving extract of siam weed that is 146,1 cm, leaf quantity 9,89 cm and dry weight of cane amounting to 30,47 grams. This matter caused siam weed has a fairly high nutrient content (2,65% N, 0,53% P and 1,9% K) (Chandrashekar and Gajanana, 1996). Speargrass has the nutrient content of 1,97% N, 0,13% P, dan 1,65% K (Lubis, 1995) so that the plant height of giving extract of speargrass bigger is 143,27 cm higher than the control treatment which only has a plant height of 140,07 cm.
The observation wet weight is known that giving of siam weed extract has the best treatment because it has a highest average namely amounting 133,47 grams. This matter can be caused extract of siam weed able to help the root soft plants penetra the soil deeper and broader so that the plants are better.

ABSTRACT

This study purpose to determine the nutrient content contained in a liquid organic fertilizer from apu-apu is based on the analysis results laboratorium. The treatment of different activators in the manufacturing of liquid organic fertilizer from apu-apu, with two standard of treatment that yeast activator (p1) and EM4 activator (p2). Yeast is able to decipher the organic materials in the manufacture of Liquid Organic fertilizer apu-apu, the value of as much nitrogen element content using EM4, but the element content of phosphorus and potassium lower. Results from the study showed that the content of nitrogen (N) liquid organic fertilizer (POC) of apu-apu with yeast activator (p1) 0.13% and 0.13% N in the POC with EM4 activator (p2). The content of phosphorus (P) on the POC of apu-apu with EM4 activator worth 0.0112% and 0.0038% P on the POC of apu-apu with an activator of yeast. The content of potassium (K) on the POC of apu-apu with EM4 activator worth 0.0055% and POC with yeast activator worth 0.0032%.

ABSTRACT

Coffee plant  during this export opportunity that is promising because in addition to meet the domestic coffee plant is also able to increase the country's foreign exchange through exports to countries of Europe and America. Robusta coffee is the coffee plant that is very important in the tropics, particularly in Asia and Africa
Thise research purposes to determine the concentration of PGR Novelgro Alpha optimal set of parameters when the emergence of shoots (days after sowing) and seed germination percentage of Robusta (Coffea canephora). Research conducted at the Laboratory of Agronomy Lost Shadows Polytechnic State Agricultural Samarinda. This research held for approximately two months from September to October 2015. The study is structured in four treatments (n). where and every treatment has 25 seeds, the germination observations consisting of n0 Without PGR Novelgro Alpha., n1 concentration of PGR Novelgro Alpha is 0.7 ml / L of water., n2 concentration of PGR Novelgro Alpha is 1 ml / L of water, and n3 concentration of PGR Novelgro Alpha  1.7 ml / L water
Based on observations when the emergence of shoots in Table 1 indicate that the carrying n0 (without soaking PGR Novelgro Alpha), n1 (immersion concentration of PGR Novelgro Alpha 0.7 ml / L of water), n2 (immersion concentration of PGR Novelgro Alpha 1 ml / L of water) , n3 (1.7 ml immersion concentration of PGR Novelgro Alpha / L of water) in a row is 20 days after sowing, 19 days after sowing, 18 days after sowing and 17 days after sowing and germination percentages Based on the calculation results in Table 2 show that germination percentage based treatment concentration of PGR Novelgro Alpha are respectively 56% (n0), 68% (n1), 76% (n2) and 88% (n3).

Abstract

Land cover change is one of the main issues that occur  worldwide. In particular the state of Indonesia which has a population high enough will certainly affect land cover change. More broadly land cover change will affect the global climate change. It is necessary for an effort to know the state of land cover in the future as an input in policy making.
Modeling developments in the field of geographic information systems and remote sensing can help in predicting changes in land cover that occur in a region. One land cover modeling methods that can be used to predict changes in land cover is a binary logistic regression (BLR) and Markov chain (RM). Both of these models can be used to predict land cover change for changes in the future. Studies using this model is done in Bandung area as case study areas. In this study the incorporation of BLR and RM models. The results from the merger  of this model shows the level of accuracy of  70.1% and has a value of 0,548 KIA (moderate).

Aplication of Seed Scarification for Efficacy Germination Process of
Rubber (Hevea brasiliensis)

ABSTRACT

This research aim to to know system of scarifikasi best to rubber seed in quickening its germination process and also know storey; level percentage of efficacy germinate from system of scarifikasi used seed.
Research consist of 2 treatments, first treatment are rubber seed which have been selected to be soaked with branch water during one night and eroded its cotiledone hole plug; and second treatment are rubber seed which have been selected to be soaked with concentrate 1,5 ml Novelgro Alpha/litre of water during 24 hours.
Result of research indicated are treatment with eroding cover of cotiledone and soaking of rubber seed with concentrate of Novelgro Alpha fulfilling efficacy criterion germinate good category succeeding with percentage value germinate each 86% and 92%.
